Lagos State Education District III

The Education Sector Reform law of July 2005 which provide for the enhancement of Careers of Teachers in Post- Primary service and decentralize for effective Management of post- primary School system in Lagos State established the six (6) Education Districts and created the office of Tutors-General/Permanent Secretaries (TG/PS) to head each of the six (6) Education Districts in the State and to further ensure efficient coordination and implementation of Educational development in the entire state irrespective of the level of government or department of Government responsible for the level of Education.

The TG/PS is saddled with the overall responsibility of planning and monitoring of the implementation of educational policies as it affects infrastructure, staff and students.

The District covers four (4) zones namely Epe, Eti-Osa, Ibeju-Lekki and Lagos Island with the District Headquarters at 123, Awolowo Road, Falomo – Ikoyi, Lagos. The District currently has One hundred and thirty-two (132) Junior and Senior Secondary Schools. The incumbent TG/PS is Mrs Margaret Titilayo Solarin.
